Meetings

There are a number of different sorts of meetings you might find helpful to host. Sharing information with different partners really helps to motivate people.

Types of meeting:

  • Progress meetings - these can include all or part of the project delivery team but should be a way of reviewing progress, look at specific targeted activity and methods for delivery
  • Monthly internal team meetings including all members of the team: administration, finance, key members of the project and wider union team. These are a good way of discussing key issues/problems, practical operational issues and providing feedback which is motivational and inclusive, as well as clarifying people’s roles and responsibilities. Meetings should be minuted and actions recorded and reviewed at the next meeting
  • Project worker meetings are a good way to find solutions to problems, share good practice and look at how to target activity, record and report on outcomes and look at specific support for workplaces, learning centres and ULRs. These meetings can also provide practical training opportunities and a good opportunity to network with colleagues doing the same or a similar role
