Continuing Professional Development - Supporting Information

This theme will address union aspirations to ensure that union learning supports unions with continuing professional development as a key issue.

Unions are best placed to address the Equality and Diversity issues which impact on how individuals and groups access these areas of learning.

Bids under this theme may wish to consider the following:

• Encouraging employers to sign the Skills Pledge and commit to learning agreements which include access to and support
• Considering barriers faced by members in accessing existing union and employer CPD opportunities and how to minimise those
• Considering how your ULF work can influence current CPD arrangements to better reflect the needs of your members
• Work with unionlearn to strengthen partnerships with Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
