Community Learning Support Programme
Community Learning Champion Support Programme
Unionlearn is part of a consortium that is assisting in the development of the Community Learning Champions Support Programme. The programme is funded by BIS. It came about because of the government’s commitment to informal adult learning outlined in the Learning Revolution White Paper ( Link to the Learning Revolution White Paper below)
http://www.dius.gov.uk/skills/engaging_learners/informal_adult_learning/white_paper
Other members of the consortium include NIACE, WEA and MYA.
NIACE have just announced the successful First Round Community Learning Champions Development Fund Projects. See link below to a list of successful projects and project summaries

To support the projects NIACE will be holding a series of Regional Launch Events in the next couple of months. They particularly want colleagues from unionlearn and trade unions to attend these events. Especially those trade unions who want to develop community links/partnerships. I have attached below a link to the relevant section of the Community Learning Champions website for more information on the events.
